- The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is inviting proposals for Site Naturalization Works at the former Public Works Operations Yard, located at 4388 Talbot Trail in Merlin.The project includes herbicide application in Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 to suppress turfgrass and invasive plant species, preparing the site for ecological restoration.Following vegetation control, the site will be leveled and drill seeded with a native tallgrass prairie and wildflower mix.The goal is to restore the area to a more natural state, enhance biodiversity, and support long-term environmental sustainability within the Municipality.
