Description:
The University of Toronto is seeking responses to this RFP from qualified Architects for professional services relating to the Platform for Advanced Structural Materials Testing Labs at the St. George campus. These labs will be located in the basement of the Pratt Building, located at 6 King-s College Road, in Rooms 69, 75, and 81, to support research themes in Material Science Engineering: metals, mechanics, manufacturing, and machine learning.This project will be completed in two parts with an intermediate University Review phase:Part 1 - Feasibility Study/Pre-Design Services and Schematic Design (Fixed Fee):This phase will include Pre-Design Services and Schematic Design and a Class C Cost Estimate. Refer to Section D.1 Deliverables for details.At the conclusion of Part 1, should the University, in its sole discretion, elect to proceed with Part 2, the construction cost estimate provided at the end of Part 1 will be used as a baseline to establish the agreed-upon Construction Budget.Part 2: Full Implementation from Design Development to Post Construction (Percentage-based Fee):This phase will involve full professional services from Design Development to the end of construction and the warranty phase. Fees for this Part will be determined by percentage as outlined in section E.3 of this RFP and in the Response Form.
