Description:
This Request for proposal ("RFP") is an invitation by the Upper Grand District School Board (the “Board" or "UGDSB") to prospective Proponents to submit proposals for a Physical Security Infrastructure Platform (“Platform”). The Platform should be deployed in a Software as a Service (“SaaS”) or Infrastructure as a Service (“IaaS”) cloud model and provide an intuitive, web-based interface (single pane of glass) that unifies the management of physical security functions, including:
- Access Control (UGDSB-s primary need) - Safety - Alarms/Strobes
- Video Surveillance and Analytics - Environmental Monitoring
- Public Address/Intercom - Building Automation

The Platform must support door access control functionality. For the remaining physical security functions, the Platform should support integrations with third-party systems delivering those functions and/or provide direct native support in the Platform. The Board intends to evaluate the proposals with an intent to standardize on a single Platform.

A subsequent procurement will seek security system integrators qualified to work with the chosen Platform. Qualified integrators will be offered the opportunity to bid on the Board-s Access Control and physical security systems integration projects across 65 elementary, 11 secondary, and 5 administrative sites.
