Description : Notice is hereby given that Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”) as agent for Vancouver Island Health Authority (“VIHA”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide three (3) MRI upgrades to existing Equipment which includes associated Services for an estimated value of $3,900,000.00 CAD. General Electric Canada, operating as GE Healthcare 2300 Meadowvale Blvd Mississauga, Ontario L5N 5P9 PHSA, has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason: the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason: (a) to ensure compatibility with existing products/systems and/or to maintain specialized products that must be maintained by the manufacturer or its representative. Three (3) MRI systems at VIHA are at end of life and need to be upgraded urgently. General Electric Canada (“GE”) has developed a system upgrade that would allow The Artist-EVO upgrade to the SIGNA Artist Evo platform.
