Description:
Detailed_Description : The Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OCC/OFPS) investigates deaths pursuant to the Coroners Act, as amended, and are seeking to create a roster of licensed Funeral Establishments and Transfer Service Operators to provide Body Transportation Services throughout the Province of Ontario. The OCC/OFPS is releasing the (Phase 2) RFR Body Transportation Services. Any qualified Vendor who would like to provide service on behalf of the OCC/OFPS should respond to this RFR. Once the posting is closed, only Vendors who are on the list of Service Providers will be contacted to provide Body Transportation Services on behalf of the OCC/OFPS.
Scope of Work : Service Providers will be required to:•transport Human Remains for further investigation (i.e. PME and identification);•remove Human Remains from public places for storage, further examination, or identification; and•transport Human Remains when there is no identified claimant as required by the General Inspector of Anatomy under the Anatomy Act, as amended, to a secure storage facility
