Description:
This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Pharmacy Services for Long Term Care Facilities as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).
Proponent is to provide a complete medication management system to seven (7) Long Term Care Homes, in the Niagara Region. This service includes the supply, dispensing, consulting and delivery of medication as well as the required equipment and technology to support the medication program.
Incorporated in 1969, the Regional Municipality of Niagara (The Region) began operating as the upper tier of a two-tiered level of Government in 1970; located in the Niagara Peninsula in the Province of Ontario. It encompasses a geographic area of 1,892 square kilometers and serves a population of over 400,000 who live and work in twelve (12) local Area Municipalities comprised of five (5) cities, five (5) towns and two (2) townships. The Region employs approximately 2900 employees.
The Community Services Department, Senior Services Division of the Regional Municipality of Niagara maintains and operates a network of seven (7) Long Term Care (LTC) homes located throughout Niagara Region with 964 beds.
