- Pharmacy Services to Aspen Village Special Care Home, 77 Aspen Village Drive Emerald Park, SK, S4L 0E4 Saskatchewan including any services provided under the guidelines of the special care home guidelines - Section 1: Standards, 1.3.16 Medication Management within Saskatchewan Health Authority. See below for the list of Aspen Village Special Care Home details. Equipment required: - example only [list specific equipment requirements] • 1 height adjustable medication cart per unit with narcotic lock box • Medication organization system for each med room • eMAR proposed - SHA will provide the laptops for the medication carts. SHA will need to know the software requirements in order to support the eMAR system (cloud based?) • 1 electronic pill crusher per cart • Narcotic waste storage container per cart • Sharps bin per cart and one in each med room • 1 medication fridge per unit • 1 specimen fridge per unit • The preferred medication dispensing method for Aspen Village Special Care Home is strip packaging for regularly scheduled medications. In addition, the packaging method needs to separate PRN and scheduled narcotics and benzodiazepine (controlled medications) from regularly scheduled medications • Aspen Village Special Care Home would like to use eMAR.
