Description : This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by Nova Scotia Lands Inc. (NSLI) to prospective Proponents to submit proposals for the completion of a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment at the Aeration Stabilization Basin (ASB) Site near the Port Mersey Commercial Park (PMCP) in Brooklyn, Queens Country, Nova Scotia. NSLI is seeking the services of a Consultant with experienced and qualified site professionals, senior environmental experts, and field personnel to conduct an environmental investigation of the ASB Site near PMCP in order to provide a Phase II ESA report. PMCP is located at the former Bowater Mersey Paper Company Limited facility at 3691 Highway 3, Brooklyn, Nova Scotia. The former paper production facility operated in this area from 1929 until June, 2012. Since December 10, 2012, PMCP has been owned by the Province of Nova Scotia and operated as a Commercial Park by Nova Scotia Lands. The ASB site is located approximately 3.5 kilometers northeast of PMCP. A Phase I ESA for the Bowater Mersey Newsprint Mill (including the ASB Site as a study area) was completed in 2012, and a groundwater program has been taking place on site since 2015.
