Issued: May 20, 2025 File # PHSA 15070 NOI Title: Vagus Nerve Stimulation Therapy Provincial Health Services Authority Notice is hereby given that Provincial Health Authority and Vancouver Coastal (the "Health Authorities"), through their collective agent Provincial Health Services Authority ("PHSA"),intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide Vagal Nerve Stimulation Therapy (VNS) for Vancouver General Hospital and BC Children's and Women's Hospital sites for a term of 3 Years and potentially 2 x 1 Year extension at an estimated value of $960K per year or $4M overthe term including option years. Livanova Canada Inc 5005 N Fraser Wy, Burnaby, BC V5J 5M1 In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA, as agent for the Health Authorities, has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason: The goods or services can be suppliedonly by the selected supplier, and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason: Due to an absence of competition for technical reasons Vancouver General Hospital, BC Children's & Women's Hospital are the only two sites currently utilizing the Vagus Stimulation Therapy Equipment.Livanonva Canada Inc. is the only manufacturer and distributor of this therapy equipment that holds a Health Canada Licence.
