Description : BC Timber Sales Kootenay Business Area encompasses the southeast corner of British Columbia and contains the Arrow, Kootenay Lake, Cranbrook, and Boundary Field Units. The Kootenay Business Area operates under our Kootenay Business Improvement (KBI) initiative. This initiative is founded on the principles of Continuous Improvement (CI). KBI consists of eight working groups (Planning, Development, TSL Award, Post Award, Silviculture, Engineering, Business Administration and GIS) comprised of BCTS staff and a “Core” group composed of the chairs of the working groups. Each working group is charged with developing and maintaining business process diagrams, user guides, and data integrity management tools specific to their area of business. BCTS has the requirement for a Registered Forest Professional to provide cost effective support services to our KBI program. It is the intent of this RFP to evaluate and engage key personnel with the necessary administrative, professional, and technical skills to fulfil the role of KBI Support.
