Description:
This Notice of Proposed Procurement (NPP) is an advisory to the industry for the upcoming two-stage construction tender (RFPQ & ITT) that BGIS will be issuing for a General Contractor to provide construction services for the Passenger and Freight Elevator Modernization at 19 Lisgar St, Sudbury, ON. This is only a notice of an upcoming solicitation opportunity, there is no additional information (technical or non-technical) available at the present time. It is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), a call for tenders, and offer to contract, or any form of legally binding agreement. BGIS is not required to call for tenders, request proposals or award any contracts pursuant to this notice.Modernization of one (1) overhead geared traction freight elevator and one (1) overhead geared traction passenger elevator. The scope of work would include, but not limited to, replacement of the present controller with a newer microprocessor-based controller, replacement of the drive system, machine, motor, door operating equipment, new fixtures and cab finishes. Additionally, backup power facility will be added for the elevators as emergency power by battery backup. The upgrade would include provision for an in-car car reader system and camera
