Tender are invited for Parkside Road- Route 1 Sanitary Sewer Crossing Analysis & Design

Notice Details The town of Quispamsis has identified a 400m portion of the municipal sewer system that connects the Parkside Road area of Quispamsis with the town's main collection system located off Brook Street east of Route 119 and adjacent to the Leisure Time complex. In this portion of the sewer system there is a 160m section of line that is situated inside a drainage cross culvert located under Route 1 highway near marker kilometer 141.9 adjacent to Parkside Road. Based on the town's research, this crossing was reviewed, approved, and partially funded by the Province of New Brunswick with an Official Certificate of Approval dated December 22, 1986, and would pre-date any requirement for a Highway Usage Permit (HUP). The line has been in operation since that time and functions properly. The agency operating and maintaining Route 1 for the Province of NB has advised the town they wish to conduct repairs on the drainage system and has asked the town to investigate options for removal and rerouting of the sewer line.
We are requesting qualified Consultants submit a detailed proposal that addresses the level of effort to follow the scope of work outlined in this document.
