GIVEN THE UPCOMING HOLIDAY PERIOD, WE ARE PUBLISHING IN NOVEMBER BUT ONLY CLOSING IN JANUARY TO ALLOW ENOUGH TIME FOR BIDDERS TO PREPARE, GIVEN YEAR-END ACTIVITIES AND REDICED STAFFING. Following a condition assessment performed in 2022 by engineering firm SNC-Lavalin, fire alarm systems were surveyed against requirements of applicable codes and installation standards at the Winnipeg Maintenance Center (WMC). To ensure compliance to codes, reliability and serviceability of systems, VIA Rail would like to proceed with the replacement of the fire alarm system at the WMC according to SNC-s recommendations. In order to submit a Tender, the Tenderer must comply with the following mandatory criteria: Tenderer must have attended the Mandatory Site Visit The work must be substantially completed no later than June 1, 2026 Experience General Contractor must have a minimum of 10 years experience Subcontractors must have a minimum of 5 years experience in their related expertise of work Tenderer confirms their Tender complies with all requirements, specifications and commits to respect them during the entire project duration Tenderer commits to respecting VIA-s Contractor Safety Guidelines
