Description : Introduction The Manitoba Association of Health Care Professionals (MAHCP) is Manitoba-s largest Allied Health union, representing approximately 85% of unionized professional, technical and paramedical health care employees across the province in both public and private sectors. In the past year, MAHCP has experienced the largest organizational growth in our fifty-year history. Not only has our membership expanded from approximately 3,900 dues-paying members to over 6,600, but our geographic territory has also greatly increased, now covering the entire province. This growth has changed the make-up of our membership, which now consists of approximately 190 health care disciplines with a greatly increased rural component and new and different work settings.
