Description : Notice of Intent Operational and Functional Component (OFC) assessment engineering services at following Vancouver Coastal Health Buildings - LGH - Paul Myer Tower VGH - Jim Pattison Pavilion North VGH - Leon Judah Blackmore Pavilion Document Number: 019NOI21EZ Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) intends to extend the contract with Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. (RJC) for seismic risk assessment of existing operational and functional components (OFC) within the mechanical rooms at following VCH buildings LGH - PMT, VGH - JPN & LJBP to review the current level of seismic restraint in the context of Part 4 of the applicable building code. The maximum value of this contract extension will be $87,500.00 - plus tax. VCH has chosen not to complete a Request for Proposal (RFP) process but negotiate the contemplated contract for the following reasons: · RJC has been providing OFC engineering services for VCH since October, 2018 · RJC brings more than 15 years of experience completing field assessments of seismic risk associated with building operational and functional components in accordance with CSA S832: Seismic risk reduction of OFCs of buildings. · RJC has established working relationships with the Seismic Program members from Lower Mainland ...
