- Description:
- This construction project generally involves the reconstruction of the road embankments to meet a minimum grade of 2:1. The roadway is to be raised and regraded to meet the City-s vertical design requirements for roadways. The roadway platform is to be widened to accommodate new steel beam guide rails and energy attenuating terminals. The existing corrugated steel pipe (CSP) culvert crossing under Old Highway 17 will be replaced with a new longer high-density polyethylene (HDPE) culvert to match into the bottom of the new embankment. Ditching is to be completed as required to accommodate the new roadway grades and embankment profiles as part of the road raising and widening. The preceding list is not exhaustive of all Work required under this Contract.
