- The Town of Cochrane Council adopted its current Official Plan, the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Area Official Plan, on September 10, 2013. Ministerial approval was granted on April 30, 2014, and the Plan was last consolidated on December 10, 2018.
The Official Plan serves as a policy document outlining the Town-s land use objectives and guiding its growth and development over a 20-year horizon. It includes goals, objectives, and policies that determine how and where the Town should grow. The current Official Plan provides land use direction up to 2032.
