Reissue of Solicitation This solicitation cancels and supersedes previous solicitation number ScaleUp014 dated 2023/11/23 with a closing of 2024/01/05. A debriefing or feedback session will be provided upon request to bidders who bid on the previous solicitation.ScaleUpScaleUp is a social procurement initiative led by Shared Services Canada (SSC) to increase the diversity of bidders on federal government contracts. As a ScaleUp solicitation, this procurement is a set-aside for Canadian small businesses that are either owned or led by underrepresented groups or Indigenous businesses.BackgroundThe Government of Canada is required to provide an inclusive and barrier-free environment for all its employees. Housed within Shared Services Canada, the Accessibility, Accommodation, and Adaptive Computer Technology (AAACT) program offers individualized support to employees with disabilities by providing assessments of their accommodation needs and access to an inventory of adaptive technology (hardware and software) that can help address the barriers they are facing in the workplace. The program-s expertise is mainly in computer technology, but AAACT clients frequently require a combination of technical tools, training, skills development, and new ways of working. Some of these complementary resources are currently contracted individually by each department, but centralizing them within the AAACT program would enable more timely and cost effective interventions.
