This Negotiated Request for Proposals (the "NRFP") is an invitation by BC Transit to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Automatic Vehicle Location ("AVL") technology to be implemented in two phases on approximately 892 buses operating within 26 fixed route Transit Systems as further described in Section B of the NRFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the "Deliverables").
The Solution is expected to be designed and implemented such that it:
a. Achieves BC Transit's outcomes for Customer Experience, Schedule and Data Analysis, Dispatch, Bus Operator support, and Solution Design
b. Limits the disruption of BC Transit's existing business practices and standards through thoughtful business analysis and system design,
c. Provides a flexible platform that will support and align with current and future AVL technology and future mobility services including Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS)
