Summary Details:
The Ministry of Forests, Skeena Region, Smithers, is intending to direct award a services contract (GS23RSK008) for the following proposed work/service:
- Supply camp accommodation (tenting platforms, camp facilities and three meals a day) to a crew of eight in the Taku River drainage area July 18-23
- Supply flights to and from Atlin BC to the camp July 18 and July 23
- Supply a helicopter (Long Ranger) and pilot on the BC government approved pilot and company list for the crew to use for up to 4 hrs per day July 19-22.
The proposed work/service is to be carried out by the Brixton Metals Corporation at a contract price of less than $ 60,000.
The anticipated term of the contract is from July 1, 2022 to July 31, 2022.
The contractor's qualifications required to complete the services are:
- Camp facilities in the Taku River drainage area (map below)
- Resources to supply fixed wing flights to and from Atlin to the camp
- Helicopter with fuel on-site and available for crew use, with helicopter pilot and company on BC government approved list
The Ministry of Forest, Skeena Region has chosen not to compete the contemplated contract for the following reasons:
