Operational and Functional Component (OFC) assessment engineering services at all Fraser Health Authority Acute Sites

Fraser Health Authority (FH) intends to extend the contract with Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. (RJC) for seismic risk assessment of existing operational and functional components (OFC) within the Boiler, Chiller, Electrical, and Generator rooms at all Fraser Health Authority Acute Sites to review the current level of seismic restraint in the context of Part 4 of the applicable building code.
The maximum value of this contract extension will be $115,900.00 - plus tax. FH has chosen not to complete a Request for Proposal (RFP) process but negotiate the contemplated contract for the following reasons:
RJC has been providing OFC engineering services for FH since October, 2020 RJC has been providing OFC engineering services for Lower Mainland Health Organizations since October 2018. RJC brings more than 15 years of experience completing field assessments of seismic risk associated with building operational and functional components in accordance with CSA S832: Seismic risk reduction of OFCs of buildings. RJC has established working relationships with the Seismic Program members from Lower Mainland Health Organizations since August 2018.
