Notice of Intent to Award a Contract
Notice is hereby given that the City of Abbotsford (the “City”) is contemplating making a direct award of a contract to Optiv Canada Inc. (the “Service Provider”) for the following:SentinelOne Complete Protection - Endpoint Protection SoftwareSentinelOne Singularity Identity for IDPs.The contract will be for three (3) years from February 22, 2025 to February 21, 2028 and the contract amount for the three years is up to a maximum of $290,000.00 CAD.
Background
The City utilizes SentinelOne Complete Protection Platform to secure approximately 1,500 endpoints, including servers, laptops, and workstations, against cyber threats. This solution provides real-time threat detection, automated response, and remediation. Additionally, SentinelOne Singularity Identity protects Active Directory from identity-based attacks, a key component of the City's cybersecurity strategy.
SentinelOne has been integrated into the City's security operations, and replacing it would require significant effort, increasing risks and operational costs. Renewing this solution ensures continued protection, compliance, and operational stability while avoiding potential disruptions associated with transitioning to a different platform.
The current contract with Optiv Canada Inc expires on February 21, 2025.
