Description:
The City of Grande Prairie hereby provides notice of its intent to directly award a contract to Agence Gravel Inc.The City intends to direct award $108,785.39 to Agence Gravel Inc, to supply requested goods that will support the Grande Prairie Police Service (GPPS) firearms training, operational deployment, and officer safety requirements. Ammunition is required for all firearms training. The optics and accessories are required to: Maintain compatibility with existing GPPS issued firearms and mounting systems, ensure consistency of equipment across trained members, support operational deployment and instructor led training.This direct award is being undertaken pursuant to the applicable exceptions under the New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA) as the procurement meets the conditions for limited tendering. A competitive procurement would introduce delays impacting training, qualification, and operational readiness. Availability of compatible equipment and ammunition is limited nationally, and Gravel provides a more cost‑effective solution. This direct award is required to maintain training continuity, officer safety, and operational capability.This notice is issued for transparency purposes only. Challenges will not be accepted in response to this posting.
