Description : NOTICE OF INTENT (NOI) The University of Northern British Columbia is giving notice that it intends to sole source a utility tractor. Based on an analysis of the available machines and local service options, UNBC has identified a John Deere 1585 and related attachments as the only option that meets all of the requirements. UNBC is seeking to purchase a utility tractor for all season work on the Prince George campus. UNBC has 5.7 km of walkways and paths to clear and sand in the winter, and roughly 10 acres of lawn to mow in the summer. The seasonal requirements for this machine and attachments include: o Spring sweeping, lawn thatching and mowing o Summer mowing and sweeping o Fall winter prep, and towing utility trailer o Winter snow clearing and sanding Due to the distance to major urban centres, UNBC requires a local service provider for the unit.
