Description : Notice is hereby given by the City of Burnaby of its intent to award a contract to Lifesaving Society of BC for national lifeguarding and lifesaving programs, Instructor Certification and Recertification Program, First Aid Program, and supplies. The estimated value of the contract is $180,000.00 Canadian for a two year contract term including applicable taxes. The City of Burnaby did not call for competitive proposals for the following reasons: · Lifesaving Society of BC is a leader and partner in the delivery of water safety education; · It is the City's understanding that there is no other vendor able to provide a national lifeguarding, lifesaving program, instructor certification and recertification program; · Consistency with the current national lifeguarding and lifesaving program; and · The impact of introducing a different lifeguarding and lifesaving program would affect cost as well as resources. Companies wishing to object to this decision should EMAIL a letter of objection presenting specific reasons for their objection by 3:00 p.m., local time, December 3, 2020.
