Description:
BackgroundThe City of Calgary issued and awarded EOI 04-4837 for the Fueling System Upgrade to Assetworks Inc in 2005 due to Assetwork-s ability to provide a proven, flexible, and affordable packaged hardware/software solution designed to meet all the needs of The City including a Work Order Management for the Infrastructure Services Division (ISD) of The Calgary Police Service (CPS).Since then, CPS has incorporated the use of the following Assetworks- provided platforms:• M5 • Fleet Focus; and • AiMIn 2020, CPS issued NOI 20-015 to extend the use of AiM until 2023 May 28 and Fleet Focus until 2025 May 28.With the intent of replacing AiM with a different system due to end of life, AiM NOI was for only two (2) years. Due to a lack of approved budget for the acquisition of a new Facilities Management Software solution, CPS intends to continue the contract for the existing AiM software for an additional four (4) years of software licensing and support and maintenance. Scope of Project:The recommendation to extend contracts with AssetWorks is driven by current economic conditions and a lack of dedicated funding and as such, CPS intends to continue with AssetWorks software to mitigate operational disruptions internal to CPS operations and to provide critical frontline services while remaining within previously dedicated budgets.
