Description:
The City of Grande Prairie ("City") intends to direct award a contract to Axon Public Safety Canada, Inc. for the provision of, Supply and Installation of a cloud-based Records Management System for the Grande Prairie Police Services. This includes AI LLM assistance for report writing, an electronic officer notes solution, and integration with GPPS- existing cloud based digital evidence management system. This decision is based on being in accordance with the New West Partnership Trade Agreement and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement. Under these agreements, exceptions to a competitive procurement are permitted when: a. The goods or services can only be supplied by a particular supplier due to exclusive rights, technical compatibility, or absence of competition for technical reasons; and b. The procurement is necessary to ensure compatibility with existing products or to maintain specialized services. c. Time limitations: Axon has confirmed immediate availability of qualified personnel and technical resources to meet the City and GPPS-s implementation timeline.
