Description:
Nutrition & Food Services operates in 141 sites across Saskatchewan and is seeking a partnership with a broadline distributor to achieve procurement goals that creates value for the residents of Saskatchewan. NFS 2025-2026 total food budget is $47,500,000. Data provided in solicitation has been compiled from multiple data sources to provide proponents reasonable and relevant data to respond to RFP. Data accuracy from multiple sources may be compromised. Proponents are encouraged to review, clarify and adjust proposal accordingly. NFS operates in sites with client number ranging from 10 to 660. Many sites operate a central kitchen producing for multiple sites. Sites may offer additional services including meals on wheels (MOW) services and retail services. NFS is seeking a broadline distributor partner to achieve key NFS priorities: Implementation and coordination of NFS common ingredients to increase food quality, increase resident/patient satisfaction, reduce food waste and improve nutritional profile of menus. NFS common ingredient flexibility and modification to meet texture-modification and therapeutic needs. Right size pack and case size that meet operational needs Safe food system through robust food recall notification and monitoring system.
