Project Description : Advance Contract Award NoticeTo contract with Scienta Omicron to acquire a Nanoprobe Scanning Tunneling MicroscopeThe Scienta Omicron LT Nanoprobe custom multi-probe STM system is a unique 4-probe STM system that has been custom-designed and optimized for large-aperture optical access to the probe tips from 3 different directions in the spectral range from visible to terahertz (THz). This is the only available system that can provide such technical capabilities. SummaryThe LT NanoProbe is a Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) system that includes four independently controlled scanning probes and samplemaintained at low (Features and SpecificationsUHV System with measurement chamber, sample preparation chamber and two sample/probe load locks. UHV means regularoperation at 3x10E-10 mbar or lower.- Pumping of chambers via a combination of turbo molecular pumps, ion getter pumps and Ti sublimation pumps.- All backing pumps must be oil free (e.g. scroll pumps)- System must include pressure measurement in each chamber- System must include an RGA (and electronics and software)- Load lock must include ability to load multiple (e.g. 5) samples and / or probes at one time.- System must include complete bakeout equipment, with bakeout control (heating and temperature monitors) computer controller and capable of baking recipes.- All cables and accessories for operation must be included- System electrical ...
