• Description: the department of foreign affairs, trade and development (dfatd) requires the services of a consultant to implement the field support services project (fssp) for the department`s myanmar bilateral development program. the project goal and objectives are to provide: 1) technical expertise and analysis, facilitate knowledge exchange, and support local knowledge-building, research, 2) administrative, financial, procurement and logistical services in support of program delivery and oversight and will inform sound, evidence-based planning, monitoring and reporting for development programming in support of canadian priorities. The project will also ensure that programming is informed by a strong analysis incorporating a conflict sensitive and human rights-based approach with ge and empowerment of women and girls at the core. The fssp will also strengthen canada`s position as a donor leader in the country through the contribution to key areas, notably ge and empowerment of women and girls, inclusive governance, and peace and security, as well as to the sustainable development goals (sdg 5; 6 and 16: ge; reduced inequalities; and peace, justice and strong institutions, respectively). the purpose of this notice is to invite formal costed proposals from eligible consultants. Up to one (1) contract will be awarded as a result of this competitive process. the anticipated contract duration is five (5) years. working language of the project the working language for this project is english. description of services the consultant will be the overall manager, administrator and coordinator, bringing together the various resources required to execute the project. The services will include creating efficiencies with stakeholders involved in the program coordination, planning and implementation of various bilateral projects, as well as measuring as the impacts of canada`s development assistance in myanmar. The consultant is expected to manage the administrative, financial and logistical services and support to local development initiatives required to manage the project and will be required to undertake the procurement of goods, services and technical specialists. bidders conference a bidders` conference will be held on june 3, 2020 through webex.
