Tender are invited for Municipal Broadband Strategy
Project Description : The Town of Stony Plain seeks to retain the services of a qualified consultant(s) to complete Stage 1 of a Broadband Strategy. The consultant will examine current fibre, existing inventory, future needs and expectations and planned broadband infrastructure to produce several possible infrastructure solutions that will serve the entire community. It is anticipated that the full strategy will be developed over two-separate but consecutive stages. Stage 2 of the Broadband Strategy is dependent on the discoveries of Stage 1 and 2023 funding and not included in the scope of this RFP. High speed, high quality and reliable broadband connectivity is imperative for communities to be a competitive and desirable place to do business, live and visit. With the Town's proximity to Edmonton and the rapidly diversifying economy of the Edmonton Metropolitan Region, high-speed connectivity will link the Town's many businesses and facilities together, providing new and existing businesses and residents access to global opportunities.
