Description:
The Board is seeking the services of a pre-qualified Architectural Firm to provide architectural and consulting services as further specified herein.
The Primary Objective is to determine the most viable means to air condition thirty-seven (37) different school buildings with older mechanical systems.
The Successful Bidder will be required to produce a report to determine at a high level, the best method to air condition schools with older mechanical systems
Architectural consultants to contract Mechanical consultants from Preferred List.
Design Brief for Each Building: The scope of this project is limited to the preparation of design briefs for each building. The full design of systems will be addressed as separate future projects. The successful bidder for this RFQ is neither guaranteed future work on these projects nor excluded from bidding on them.Appendix A contains a list of the schools and their floor area with a brief description of existing mechanical HVAC. All existing school drawings will be provided to the successful bidder. Design summary recommendations to be cognisant of the UCDSB 5 Year energy Plan for energy intensity reduction and ASHRAE standards. Floor plans and Hazardous materials surveys will be provided with this RFQ for reference.
