Description:
BC Timber Sales is seeking a qualified forestry consulting firm with the capacity and expertise to manage both field and office operations required for the annual layout and development of 35,000 cubic metres of timber sale licence development across the Kootenay Lake operating area. The successfulcontractor must provide a team of skilled professionals and technical staff capable of working in diverse and often remote conditions. Multiple phases of forest development may be required simultaneously. Core activities will include, but are not limited to: • Preparing total resource plans and blockplanning • Conducting block and road layout • Timber cruising and site plan preparation • Performing a range of assessments (including blocks, roads, bridges, terrain, windthrow, stream, wildlife, visual, hydrological, and more) • Assembling timber sale packages Deliverables will be scheduled throughoutthe fiscal year to align with quarterly business targets, and projects will proceed concurrently according to approved work plans and schedules. The contract requires a consultant with a proven track record in forest management, regulatory compliance, and the ability to deliver comprehensive developmentservices in a timely and efficient manner.
