The University is soliciting prospective proponents to submit proposals for Motion Capture Systems to measure human movement kinematics.Motion Capture Systems are essential for accurately capturing and analyzing human movement by tracking the trajectory of markers and/or anatomical body features that allow us to compute the orientation of body segments and external objects, joint angles, and other key biomechanical metrics. When combined with force plates, Motion Capture (MOCAP) Systems allow for high-precision analyses of human motion, providing insights into muscle and joint contact forces during various dynamic activities, such as walking, running, jumping, carrying, standing, and lifting. A Motion Capture System-s capability to process dynamic tracking of marker-based or markerless human motion is valuable for biomechanics research, enabling accurate simulation and analysis of movement. The flexibility to capture complex and non-standard poses - such as lifting, side-cuts, sprinting etc - is critical for research applications across diverse populations and tasks.The Motion Capture Systems must provide accurate, high-resolution tracking of human (and object) movement in 3D space with sub-millimetre accuracy.
