Synopsis: Mobile Health Vehicle Customization
Additional Information:
The objective of the project is to enhance mobile health and harm reduction services throughout the province via the expansion of the mobile health services. The project will aim to deliver 3 additional mobile health service units that address both general health services and harm reduction services. Currently there are 29 provincially funded Harm Reduction programs operating from a fixed location and 3 provincially funded Harm Reduction programs operating from mobile units in Saskatchewan. The Ministry of Health (MoH) would like to expand their mobile fleet units to include an additional 3 Mobile Health Services Units. Services available through Harm Reduction programs vary by location and can include but are not limited to first aid/basic care, counselling, drug checking, safer injection supplies, safer inhalation supplies, access to harm reduction supplies and Naloxone, connection to treatment, connection to social services, connection to cultural safe services, and health education. The 3 Mobile Health Services Units should be equipped to travel to different locations daily, support the delivery of the recommended general health services and harm reduction services as approved by the Minister of Health.
