Millbrook Mi'kmaw Community has four communities located in the Province of Nova Scotia, with the main administrative hub located near Truro. There are also communities located at Beaver Dam, Sheet Harbour, and Cole Harbour. Current population reports show a total community population of 2,312 members. Millbrook is a growing community with expansive economic development projects that work to support and benefit community members. Millbrook Mi'kmaw Community is seeking solutions for the development of land within its boundaries to address their needs. The community seeks a longer-term strategy to assist with planning, funding requirements, development of land and service agreements, and environmental considerations by providing data that allows informed decision making. Millbrook is investigating the opportunities to develop suitable housing sites to meet predicted population growth over the next 25 years. Based on opportunity and growth, MMC is seeking to locate viable housing lots within their existing community boundaries. Colliers Project Leaders, on behalf of Millbrook Mi'kmaw Community, is assisting with this Request for Proposals to prepare a Subdivision Feasibility Study to guide MMC in shaping the future of the community from a housing perspective.
