The LBR Med 7 R800 is a medical grade robot that allows for integrating it into the medical product as a robotic component that is critical for the proposed research. It also achieves a repeatability precision of ±0.1 mm that is essential for needle placement required for the application. KUKA Robotics Corp is the only supplier able to supply a Medical Robot Arm that meets the international standards IEC 60601-1 and IEC 62304 to be used in medical applications.
