Description:
The Work to be performed under this Contract generally include, but is not limited to, the following: The removal and disposal of granular media from the Dirty Backwash Tank at McLoughin Point Wastwater Treatment Plant (MPWWTP) The CRD has requested a treatment facility (Secondary Treatment) bypass from the Ministry of Environment to facilitate this cleaning activity. The work schedule to be coordinated with the successful Tenderer must align with the schedule for the treatment facility bypass as approved by the Ministry of Environnent. Time is of the essence to compete this scope of work and proposals for twenty-four hour work schedules will be encouraged and accommodated by the CRD to complete this work as expediently as possible. It is anticipated that the scheduled bypass as approved by the Ministry of Environment may be as early as March 2025, however this has yet to be confirmed, and Tenderers must be prepared to adjust their work schedule and to perform the Work within the time frame approved by the Ministry Proponents may be awarded follow-on work without a competition. A non-mandatory pre-tender site meeting will be held at McLoughlin Wastewater Treatment Plant at 337 Victoria View Road, Victoria BC on December 18, 2024 at 10:00am. A second non-mandatory pre-tender site meeting for general contractors will be held on December 18, 2024 at 2:30pm via Microsoft Teams.
