Detailed_Description : McConnell Lake Road Upgrades- The project would include resurfacing 13km McConnell Lake rd. resurfacing the road would include adding an additional 6 inches of grade A gravel on the road right of way as well as spreading, grading, and compacting the gravel. Additional work would include the removal of large rocks in the roadbed between KM 6-7. Any rocks that would impede the resurfacing or pose a hazard to public safety should be removed. Detailed volumes of rock to be removed will be included in the tender.
Scope of Work : The objective is to add granular “A” gravel compact and grade the first 13km of McConnell Lakes Road. Addition objective include the removal of bed rock that is sticking up above the road grade posing a hazard to the many drivers that travel the road. The area of bed rock is a 75 meter long section of rocks located at 17T 640447, 5169206. McConnell Lake Road will be repaired in accordance with Schedule 1 Work. This service is required to ensure the continued and safe use of this road by public and commercial vehicular traffic.Further kilometres for the addition of gravel and grading may be required on an as needed basis. Rates payable by the Ministry to the Contractor shall remain fixed during the term of the agreement.
