- The product being procured is magnesium chloride (MgCl2) for use as a dust suppressant on approximately 1.5 kilometer of gravel road. The goal is to reduce respirable dust, improve safety through enhanced visibility, and stabilize the road surface to minimize maintenance requirements. The magnesium chloride will be applied to the designated section of gravel roads a maximum of two (2) times per year. The aim is to address areas where dust disrupts daily activities. The supplier will be responsible for the supply and application of MgCl2 to the specified gravel roads. The contract will have one term, effective from May 1 to Oct 30, 2026, with an option in favour of the City to extend it for additional two (2) similar terms in 2027 and 2028.
