- the Ministry of Forests is contemplating making a direct award of a contract to Lil-wat Forestry Ventures LLP (the “Supplier”) in partnership with N-Quatqua. The contract will consist of burn preparation and implementation activities for the Lower Blackwater and Lower Haylmore prescribed burn. The two burns are located on the traditional territory of the N-Quatqua and the Nation has entered a partnership with the Supplier to complete these works. The Province is contemplating a direct award with the Supplier for the following reasons: the cultural and prescribed burns are located on the traditional territory of the N-Quatqua and it is proposed to direct award this work to the forestry holdings of the Lil-wat Nation (the Supplier) who has staff trained for this type of firefighting operational work.
