This ITT consists of watercourse restoration within a tributary of Lover's Creek and Outfalls from Mapleview Drive East. The scope of work includes installing a stone lined channel with riffle-pool morphology, vegetated buttresses, rootwad structure, scour pads, and the re-alignment of the channel (the “Work”). The Work is accessed through the Molson Park Dog Off Leash Recreational Area (118 Mapleview Drive East, Barrie, Ontario, L4N 8Y2), as shown in Appendix G.
The proposed design will provide long term erosion protection to the channel and adjacent properties such as the modular retaining wall. The proposed works will restore the actively eroding banks as well as re-align a section of the channel to the north, effectively away from the existing modular retaining wall.
