Description:
The scope of the work is to convert a temporary gravel parking lot on the west side of the building to asphalt. Approximate size of the parking lot would be 100'x50' (5000sf). This parking lot is used for overflow parking as the existing asphalt parking lots on the site can no longer accommodate all the parking needs.The scope of work shall also include the installation of concrete curbs, line painting and geotechnical testing and/or topographical surveys (if required). It is assumed that the parking lot can be drained using surface drainage. No costs are currently allocated to install a new storm water management system for this parking lot. Prime consultant shall review the requirements and provide direction on this matter during the design process. The project-s design shall be in accordance with the IO Design & Sustainability Guidelines. Consultant will be responsible to complete all necessary investigations, for the general contractor to complete the project scope. The existing facility should remain occupied and operational for the duration of the construction period. All work should need to be executed to cause minimum or no interference with activities in existing facility.
