Tender are invited for Logging and Fiber Removal from MPB Impacted Stands in PG Dist.
Project Description : The purpose of this project is to harvest dead trees, remove logs and pileunacceptable trees, woody debris on the Work Area(s) by feller bunching/skidding and/or using an wood processor, forwarder, excavator with a piling rake, crawler tractor, or other machinery deemed appropriate by the MinistryRepresentative. The objective of the work is to create plantable spots forfuture artificial regeneration (tree planting).The work areas are sites with post MPB dead, dying trees need to be removedfrom site, and/or piled. The average estimated merchantable volume is 120m3/ha. However, all sites will contain some non-commercial vegetation whichwill need to be knocked down, reduced and/or piled.The successful bidder will be paid for the work as per prices listed in thesigned contract. The successful bidder will be automatically awarded withForest Licence to Cut for the same area with the term one year longer thanthe term of the contract. The successful bidder will have an option to complete hauling of the wood for processing under the term of FLTC. More information about stumpage to be paid under FLTC are included in the bidding package.Road restoration, as well as access trail construction will be required aspart of this agreement.
