Tender are invited for Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometric System
Project Description : The Department of Chemistry submitted a single source request to purchase a Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometric System from Agilent Technologies.Department Justification:1. The new Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometric System must be compatible with the existing 1200 series fluorescence detector (FLD). The existing FLD detector would not be compatible and cannot be integrated into a new third party system (both hardware and software).2. Using a different instrument would require re-development of the methods already developed, leading to delays and a decrease of global competitiveness of our research efforts.3. By having the same manufacturer for both instruments, it allows the department to have seamless scalability from analytical, to semi-prep, to preparative scales.
