Description:
The Legislative Assembly Office ("LAO") will be undertaking a renewal project in the Legislature Chamber and surrounding areas to address aging audio-visual components and cabling infrastructure (“Chamber Upgrade Project”).The Information Technology & Broadcast Services (“IT&B”) branch of the LAO is working with VWMason Technology Consultants Ltd., a technical engineering consultant, to provide a systems design and project roadmap to complete technology, cabling and millwork upgrades in this space over the next 2 years. To allow IT&B to accommodate increased and ongoing requests for modern technology integration, it is seeking a renewed technology design for the Legislature Chamber, as the underlying infrastructure has not been upgraded since 2005.The work contemplated in this RFQ is expected to take place during the summers of 2025 and 2026 and will include audio-visual component upgrades, millwork modifications, structured cabling replacement, power and pathways upgrades, and network hardware upgrades as required.While the Chamber Upgrade Project is scheduled to run for the next 2 years, beginning in 2025 for completion in 2027, the spaces are only available for substantial work during the summer months from May to September. Proponents must able to work within the project schedule and ensure the space is available and functional during the Legislative Assembly-s sessional period.
