Description : The purposes of this project is to address certain elements of the PSPC Lean Forward Initiative to increase accessibility options at the Building based on the latest CSA B651 "Accessible Design for the built Environment". The work should include, without being limited to generality of the following: 1. Install cane detectable bar/edge/curb at Building signage (3x locations including Mackenzie King, Laurier and 2NT Rideau link entrances). 2. Install tactile attention indicators along the full width of the top of stairway landings (5x for stairs along Laurier (courtyard egress and patio), 1x at Laurier entrance), 2x for stairs from Mackenzie King bridge to 2NT entrance). Note existing TWSIs from GOC505996 and consider similar or identical. 3. Paint or install a visually contrasting marker along the top edge of stair nosing that wraps over the riser (1x at parking entrance (approx. 3 steps), 2x at breezeway entrances (approx. 8 steps total), 1x at Laurier entrance (approx. 3 steps), 1x for Laurier side emergency exit from courtyard and from patio (approx. 25 steps) and 1x for stairs from Mackenzie King bridge to 2NT entrance ... - Documents :
