PROJECT BACKGROUND
An important part of what we do here at MPAC is property inspections. During property inspections, inspectors will collect a variety of data points and information such as an interior and exterior materials as well as the gross floor area of all structures. To augment our data collection toolkit and enhance the customer experience, MPAC has tested the Leica Disto X4 and has decided to implement this as our main measuring tool.
PROJECT SCOPE
MPAC intends to engage suppliers for the Leica Disto X4 laser measuring device. While MPAC does recognize the existence of other laser measuring devices on the market, extensive research was completed including comparing the accuracy, weight, distance, battery type, ability to store multiple sketches and pictures, and bluetooth capability among various models and field testing was completed to determine the criteria for which functions the device must have. We are specifically seeking the Leica Disto X4 device, we are not interested in receiving bids for any other device.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVE(S)
The Successful Respondent will be responsible for initially providing MPAC with approximately 250 Leica Disto X4 units. The devices will be shipped directly to our head office in Pickering Ontario, where they will be re-distributed internally.
