Description:
The City is seeking proposals from experienced environmental professionals to carry forward its established Receiving Environment Monitoring Program for the Lansdowne Wastewater Treatment Centre. This ongoing work is required to meet the Environmental Management Act discharge permit requirements and to assess potential effects on the Fraser River ecosystem from the discharge of treated wastewater from the Lansdowne Wastewater Treatment Centre.
The initial program established the monitoring parameters to determine baseline environmental conditions, delineated the outfall-s zone of influence, and evaluated potential effects on water quality and aquatic life.
Under the annual monitoring program, newly collected data will be evaluated alongside historical results to identify trends, confirm regulatory compliance, inform any necessary operational or treatment system improvements, and make recommendations to revise the monitoring program as necessary.
This solicitation may lead to sequential or concurrent negotiations with one or more Proponents offering the most advantageous proposal(s), or to the creation of a Contract without negotiations.
