Description:
Work shall include the installation of a new Type SLW girder bridge over a Tributary to Parlby Creek, located approximately 3 km north of Clive, Alberta (SW 5-41-24-4) as per the Drawings and the Standard Specifications for Bridge Construction. The Contractor shall construct a three span (6m - 8m - 6m) precast concrete type SLW girder bridge as per the Drawings and applicable sections of the Standard Specifications for Bridge Construction. The new bridge will be installed on square to the local road, centered at Station 5+550 with an 8.94 m clear roadway width. The Scope of the Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: − Traffic Accommodation − Site isolation and water accommodation (Water Management) − Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Testing − Fish Capture and Release − Demolition and Disposal of Bridge Structure − Excavation − Supply and installation of steel H-piles − Abutment construction − Pier Construction − Heavy rock riprap erosion protection including geotextile filter fabric − Supply, delivery and erection of concrete girders − Approach slab construction − Deck waterproofing and asphalt concrete pavement including material testing − Installation of miscellaneous iron − Roadway work − Installation of bridgerail and guardrail including delineator guideposts − Permanent environmental protection devices
